Rigo by 41zero42 is a full-body extruded porcelain collection offered in Black and White in a 2×14-inch format. The collection reduces the palette to two monochromatic options so that material, texture, and the elongated module become the primary visual elements. Rigo has a natural matte finish and an 8 mm thickness.
Rigo combines a narrow rectangular proportion with a textured, deliberately irregular surface. Rather than reproducing a highly graphic pattern, the collection relies on the contrast between Black and White, surface movement, and variation from piece to piece. Tile X Design classifies Rigo as V3 variation, reinforcing the expectation that the finished surface will not appear completely uniform.
The restrained palette makes layout particularly important. Direction, joint placement, and the relationship between the two colors can substantially change how the elongated 2×14-inch format reads across a surface.
Rigo is produced as full-body extruded porcelain with a natural matte finish. 41zero42 identifies slight shade and caliber differences as intrinsic characteristics of the artisan porcelain. The manufacturer’s technical information also notes that differences in surface regularity, planarity, and tone can occur because of the extrusion process and use of natural raw materials.
Rigo is suitable for floor applications. Its porcelain construction, R10 slip classification, frost resistance, and DCOF of 0.73 provide measurable performance information for evaluating appropriate floor conditions, but project-specific requirements should still be reviewed before specification.
Rigo should not be specified with the expectation of perfectly identical pieces. Shade, caliber, surface, and planarity variation are described by 41zero42 as inherent to the material and manufacturing process. These characteristics should be considered when reviewing samples, determining joint width, and evaluating the finished installation.
The collection is 8 mm thick and is currently Special Order EU with an estimated 10–16 week lead time. Current availability should be reconfirmed before ordering.
Yes. 41zero42 specifically identifies differences in shade and caliber as intrinsic characteristics of Rigo, with additional surface and planarity irregularities possible because it is an extruded porcelain product.
No. Rigo’s production method intentionally leaves visible variation in its surface and individual pieces. The manufacturer considers these differences part of the material’s character rather than defects.
Both colors use the same 2×14-inch full-body extruded porcelain format and natural finish. The design difference is primarily tonal, allowing the material and surface texture to read against either a dark or light field.
Yes. Because caliber variation is specifically identified by the manufacturer, installers and designers should account for natural dimensional differences rather than expecting every piece to behave like a precisely rectified tile.
