Tile Selections Made Easy

A Tile Selection comes after you've decided on the tile sample that you love. When working without a designer, you'll have some questions about what to do next. We'll help with all the details you might not know about or would not have considered.

Tile X Design does not provide installation or contracting services. For Minnesota Residents, we can only provide a contact list of contractors to jumpstart their search. We encourage all of our clients to seek out their own Tilers whom they trust and have responsibly vetted.

Partnering With You On Your Project

A Tile Selection is the step between Sampling and Ordering. This is where all the details get ironed out, and the following items are typically seen on a selection sheet:

  • Complete name and size of the product you have chosen
  • The location of the tiles' installation (and the layout if applicable)
  • Calculated square footage allotment and cases needed
  • Grout information, such as brand and color code
  • Per-piece quantities for Special trims and/or Utility trims

If you've partnered with a Tiler or Contractor, you'll hand off your selection sheet to them to complete the final technical selections and proceed with ordering.

Going the DIY route? Our Consultants will help you identify issues or make recommendations before you place an order:

  • Are there any application vs material/finish conflicts that need addressing? 
  • Is a Self-Leveling system needed for your project?
  • What calculated overages are needed to account for breakage and the tile pattern?
  • Does your product require a special finishing sealant or installation tools?
