Set the Mood with a Flatlay

What goes into a flatlay? So much! Typically Interior Designers create flatlays (or Moodboards, Interior Palettes, etc) using fabric, carpet, counter or plumbing samples alongside the tile to create the mood for an interior space. We like to create ours with just tile, because, well, that's what we're all about.

We put a good deal of thought into our flatlays; many of our tile moodboards include mosaics, subways, stone looks or wood effects, much like your renovation would include a variety of tile depending on where it needs to be installed (think backsplashes, mudrooms, showers or kitchens). Tile is a versatile surfacing material, with thousands of different styles, finishes, and materials -- the variety of applications is really determined by what you can imagine. And a tile flatlay is the perfect place to start.
