Italic by 41zero42 is a multi-material collection developed through a study of stone finishes and structures influenced by Italian Rationalism. Its porcelain surfaces interpret Carrara, Travertino, and Lava, while coordinating ceramic wall elements in Bianco, Beige, and Nero extend the collection through glossy and dimensional surfaces.
Italic combines classic stone references with a deliberately architectural format system. Porcelain is available as 24×48-inch field tile, a mixed group of elongated 12×48, 8×48, and 5×48 formats, a 3×24-inch Cushion format, and mosaics.
Dune, Dune Lux, and Plain Lux introduce a smaller-scale wall component, allowing smooth, dimensional, matte, and glossy surfaces to be layered against the larger stone-look porcelain.
The primary Italic field material is porcelain. Dune, Dune Lux, and Plain Lux have separate technical properties consistent with white-body ceramic wall products. Tile X Design lists both 9 mm and 8 mm thicknesses within the collection, so thickness depends on the selected component.
Tile X Design lists Italic for floors, walls, and shower floors. The range of field tile, long formats, mosaics, and dimensional wall pieces allows designers to shift scale and surface character while maintaining a coordinated palette.
Italic should be specified by individual component rather than as a technically uniform collection. Field porcelain and Dune/Plain Lux wall products have different absorption and performance characteristics.
Abrasion and stain-resistance values also differ among Carrara, Travertino, and Lava. Confirm the exact material, finish, format, and performance requirements for each surface instead of applying one specification across the entire collection.
Italic Porcelain
Dune / Dune Lux / Plain Lux
No. The main stone-look field products are porcelain, while Dune, Dune Lux, and Plain Lux have a separate ceramic wall-tile specification.
No. There are different abrasion and stain-resistance values for the three stone interpretations. Specify according to the selected color and application.
Mosaic, Mosaic Mix A, and Mosaic Mix B are matte porcelain mosaics and thus suitable for shower floors.
The 12×48, 8×48, and 5×48-inch pieces introduce varying module widths while maintaining a common elongated proportion, allowing a more varied architectural layout than a single repeated field size.
