A six story glass atrium slices through the middle of the Minneapolis Central Library, filling it with light and activity. The Commons area separates the accessible elements of the library, such as the reading rooms, from the private offices and storage areas, creating wonderful community gathering spaces.
Pelli Clarke & Partners tasked the Alliiance with selecting durable limestone flooring. TXD provided the limestone and collaborated with artist Lita Albuquerque, Creative Edge waterjet fabricators and installing contractors Twin City Tile & Marble to deliver the beautiful and grand result.
