Stark industrial scenes, high contrast abstract patterns and bold graffiti make up the URBN mosaic collection. Artaic collaborated with local non-profit, Artists For Humanity (AFH) to transform their original artwork into unique tile mosaics. All the designs in the collection can be customized to fit any space, and proceeds from the sale will provide support for the AFH program. Since its founding in 1991, Artists for Humanity (AFH) has used art and design to bridge economic, racial, and social divides by providing creative training, mentorship, and paid employment opportunities to underserved urban youth. AFH grew from what was then an ambitious and unconventional idea – young people can provide, through their innate talent and vision, contemporary creative services to the business community. Today, AFH employs 250+ Boston teens annually in paid apprenticeships in the visual arts and creative industries.
URBN by Artaic
Artaic, in collaboration with local non-profit Artists for Humanity (AFH), used design technology to transform teen artists’ original artwork into mosaic murals. AFH receives a royalty from any URBN design that is produced.
